Mustard Seed Thrift Store & Book Nook
The thrift store is thriving and we welcome new volunteers. It is an opportunity to support a significant ongoing fundraiser for All Saints. The Mustard Seed contributes $8000 to the general fund, and makes quarterly contributions to Hot Meals and the Food Pantry. It appears we are on track to raise $15,000 this year. We price and sort on Wednesdays from 10-1 and the store is open on Fridays from 10-4. As it is summer, our volunteers have family events and vacations so we welcome some additional assistance. 2 to 4 hours is the usual amount of time people spend.
We also accept donations on Wed and Friday. Our volunteers are efficient at sorting and pricing and we have many repeat customers who come weekly to see any new items. Please make sure donations are clean and have a useful life remaining. A few caveats on things we cannot accept: old electronics such as analog or tube tvs, bedding, child car seats. We love books, clothing, art, knick knacks, kitchenware, small appliances, small furniture pieces, crafting items, jewelry, dvd and cds to name a few things.
