Celebrate Giving Tuesday

On the weekend before Thanksgiving, the Pantry served over 300 people with extra full bags that included special holiday food items given by parishioners and community members. This last weekend, we hosted a TDay Community Share where people were served Hot Meals and then got to walk through the Parish Hall to receive hats and scarves, hand warmers and hygiene items.

The Pantry and our other Outreach Ministries are easing the burden for many individuals and families while forming a vibrant community among volunteers, those who come to shop, and partners who support the work through in-kind and financial donations.

This year, celebrate Giving Tuesday with a gift that helps expand and complete the Woodstock Pantry. Expanding and completing the existing Pantry structure will allow us to:

• keep up with increased need so that no one is turned away;
• have a sustainable, climate controlled, ADA accessible structure;
• increase our capacity to involve choices, like culturally appropriate food options;
• support the other Outreach Ministries of All Saints through additional storage and options for distribution;
• and make working or shopping at the Pantry a dignifying experience for everyone involved.

Gifts can be made online at allsaintspdx.org/donate and select “Woodstock Pantry Fund” in the drop down menu. Checks can be made out to All Saints Episcopal Church with “Woodstock Pantry” in the memo and sent to 4033 SE Woodstock Blvd, Portland, OR 97202 or placed in the offering at church.
